Let me tell you this very ancient story, from another land called Music business:
In the past years, there was this black guy, named Edwin Birdsong, who made a song, "Cola battle baby", which was a pretty good funk hit. Then came Daft Punk. These two white guys sampled the black guy and made "Harder faster better stronger". And then, this melody became a big hit once again.
And then, just a little time ago, Kanye West arrived. This black guy came and sampled these white guys of Daft Punk, trying to make a new big hit.
During all theses changes, the melody was lost, and nobody remembers now how it sounds.
Will this new song become a hit? Is sampling a sample the new way of making real good music? … that is another story
